Final report 12. year

The International Trade Fair Střechy Praha (Roofs – Prague) whose already twelfth event was held this year has confirmed its stable position despite the ongoing economic recession. This year and under a new name a unique specialized exhibition in the Czech Republic – Solar Praha was organized in paralell with the trade fair,. This change has reflected the increasing interest of exhibitors and the public in the solar energy. Both events took place between January 28 and 30, 2010 in the Prague Exhibition Grounds Holešovice.

The opening ceremony was held in the Right hand wing of the Industrial Palace. The distinguished guests as follows participated in the opening ceremony:
Ing. Irena Plocková, director of the programme Zelená úsporám (SFŽP) – The Green Savings programme (State Environment Facility), Ing. Ladislav Brett, member of the board – ČKAIT (Czech Chamber of Chartered Engineers and Technicians Engaged in Construction), Jiří Vrňata, guild master of KPT ČR (The Guild of Whitesmiths, Roofers and Carpenters)

The topic which was highlighted during the trade fair Střechy Praha and during the exhibition Solar Praha was energy saving constructing. It was a frequent part of the supporting events where the designing of energy saving of energy saving roof decks, technical solution of additional insulation of flat roofs was discussed.

The lectures were focused also on this very important issue ie. to energy passport and building lable and also  to new Standard ČSN 74 6077 under preparation – windows and balcony doors – application in civil engineering. Also the actual problematics of designing wooden structures according to Eurocodes and fire endurance of the constructions was discussed. We have registered enormous interest in the workshop Solar  and zero houses and in the lectures from the The Green Savings programme. The lectures and workshops were included into the programme of lifelong learning of the ČKAIT.

The visitors could see again this year all the news in the Product Pavilion, practical shows of crafts and also a unique collection of the roof coverings Tegularium.
